Our Story

Southern Cross Logistics was formed around 1997 to compliment the Neway Transport group and initially included Southern Cross Couriers.

The Southern Cross Logistics business was separated out in 2005 and was then dedicated to Third Party Logistics (3PL) for a range of products and services.

The business has been locally owned and operated for over 20 years and has successfully retained many of the valuable clients that are still on board.

Southern Cross Logistics Management Services operates out of a modern warehouse facility in Malaga, Western Australia that is in close proximity to both the Airport and the City for ease of access.

The business was recently acquired by SM Ventures Australia Pty Ltd which is wholly owned by Chris and Lorraine Musgrave.  Our previous interest was with Australian Handyman Supplies that serves Bunnings stores throughout Australia.

The wealth of experience brought to the table by the new owners has improved the efficiency and operation of the Logistics Services through updated operating and management systems and procedures.

Southern Cross Logistics is partnered with Adelaide Warehouse and Distribution Services (AWDS) to provide a national network specialising in Contract Storage, Distribution, Logistics Management and Transport for our clients.

We also have available serviced offices for lease by our clients who need space for the Sales Reps to operate out of.

Southern Cross Logistics Management Services (SCLMS) is privately owned and operated, unlike many of our competitors and this allows us the flexibility to adapt to the needs of our customers and their objectives.

The Company has invested in state-of-the-art Information Technology (IT Systems) that will provide streamlined inventory management control and which link in with the various systems utilised by our customers.

We plan to continue to grow and innovate to provide cost effective service to our customers whilst building long term relationships in the many industry sectors that we serve.

Our current client list includes Hairdressing and Beauty Products, Educational Supplies, Pumps, Wine Storage, Fans and Ducting Suppliers.

Facilities

Southern Cross Logistics Management Services is located at Unit 2, 61 Mulgul Road, Malaga in the Malaga Industrial Estate.

Our Warehouse is located in a modern building with good street access and ample parking for delivery vehicles and clients.

The facility is in relatively close proximity to the Perth Airport, Welshpool Industrial Area and the City.

We have flexible racking arrangements that can be tailored to suit the requirements of our clients, up to and including separating and isolating areas for security purposes.

Our facility is temperature controlled to accommodate the Wine storage requirements.

Storage and Picking

Our dedicated staff are expert at picking and packing large and small line items in a timely and logical manner to suit the delivery requirements of our various clients.

We have sufficient space to accept sea container deliveries for short periods and can break down and pack bulk shipments with ease.

Direct delivery to distributors can be easily arranged, along with pick, pack and label to distribute to re-sellers and retail outlets.

We can arrange exclusive storage areas, specialised pick areas to accommodate specific products and fully racked areas to suit fast and slow-moving products, high tech and delicate products, items or equipment and the like.

 

Security

For the confidence of our clients we have installed 24-hour security and monitoring systems with CCTV video surveillance.

Access to storage areas is restricted to SCLMS staff only and authorised persons must be accompanied by a staff member when on site.

Out of hours access is made by prior arrangement.
